Train With Me

I built this program because resilience isn’t a personality trait, it’s a system. Each week you’ll get a simple tool, a real-life story, and a one-page cheat sheet you can use before, during, and after sessions. Over 14 months, you’ll install Default Settings that hold up under variance.

Built by What You Repeat

My story began with a hard diagnosis and a small room where adults talked about timelines like they were facts. But life doesn’t turn on one moment. It turns on what you do next. And then what you do after that. Over time, I learned something that now feels obvious: outcomes rarely come from one big breakthrough. They come from thousands of small choices made with consistency.

In my house, resilience wasn’t a quote on a wall. It was a routine. It was the therapies you don’t feel like doing. The discipline when you’d rather check out. The willingness to keep moving when the situation is unfair and the results are uncertain. That approach carried me through school, through setbacks, through long stretches that demanded endurance, and into a life that’s fuller than any early prognosis could have predicted.

I don’t teach perfection. I teach decision integrity under pressure. Because you can’t control what shows up in your week, your health, your table, or your variance. But you can control how you respond, what you repeat, and what you build. Good decisions don’t guarantee a smooth path. They give you a stronger one.

Why Poker?

Poker is the perfect training ground for resilience because it forces you to make decisions under pressure, with incomplete information, and with real consequences. You can play well and still lose. You can play poorly and still win. That gap between effort and outcome is where most people unravel.

Poker makes that gap unavoidable, which makes it powerful. It reveals your Default Settings: how you handle uncertainty, mistakes, ego, impatience, and disappointment. If you can learn to stay steady here, you don’t just become a better player. You become harder to shake everywhere else.

The True Symbol of Resilience

While my story is one of resilience, it is only a reflection of a much greater strength: my mother's.

From the very beginning, when doctors saw a finish line, she saw a starting block. She has been my primary caregiver, my fiercest advocate, and the quiet engine behind every one of my successes. Her life has been a masterclass in selflessness—a complete and total sacrifice of her own needs for the sake of my future.

When the world was ready to fold my hand before the flop, she went all-in on me. She fought, she learned, she adapted, and she never, ever gave up. Everything I have achieved, every odd I have defied, is a testament to her unwavering belief and unconditional love.

The unshakable mindset I teach is a mindset she built first. She is the source of my strength and the true heart of my story. That’s why I teach resilience as a team sport. Your support system isn’t optional. It’s part of your bankroll.
